A LATE VICTORIAN DEMANTOID GARNET AND DIAMOND LIZARD BROOCH A late Victorian demantoid garnet and diamond brooch, in the form of a lizard, the head, body and legs encrusted with circular mixed-cut demantoid garnets and highlighted with an old-cut diamond stripe running down the back, all silver cut down collet set to a yellow gold mount, measuring approximately 5½cm, gross weight 6.5 grams, circa 1890.
