A Victorian pearl, ruby and diamond bangle, consisted of three rows, the central one set with ten old brilliant-cut diamonds graduating from the centre, alternating-set with nine oval faceted rubies, the two outer rows set with nineteen seed pearls each, terminating to pearl-set foliate design shoulders, the back with three connected gold bands, to a snap clasp, the diamonds estimated to weigh 1 carat, the rubies estimated to weigh 0.75 carats, all mounted in yellow gold, unmarked, tested as 14 carat, circa 1890, the jewelled part measuring approximately 5.9 x 1cm, gross weight 22.8 grams.
