An early Victorian topaz-set cross brooch, the nine round faceted topazes forming a cross, flanked with four pear-shaped topazes, one on each corner, the topazes estimated to weigh 23½ carats in total, all cut down set to a yellow gold mount with gold brooch pin fitting, circa 1840, measuring approximately 4.8 x 4.6cm, gross weight 12.8 grams.

Made in the early Victorian period, this romantic brooch features faceted topaz in a lovely golden honey colour, and the stones are arranged in the shape of a cross.
