A late Victorian gold and gem-set butterfly brooch, the thorax set with an oval faceted emerald, the eyes set with two small, faceted round-shaped sapphires and the wings embellished with small rubies, emeralds and small pearls, all mounted in yellow gold, marked 18ct, circa 1900 measuring 4.4 x 2.5cm gross weight 5.2 grams.
