An Edwardian amethyst and diamond brooch, the octagonal shaped mixed-cut amethyst surrounded by an openwork frame of geometric design, embellished with rose-cut diamonds, the amethyst estimated to weigh approximately 12 carats, millegrain-set in silver to yellow gold back and fittings, circa 1905, accompanied by fitted case by London & Ryder, measuring approximately 2.3 x 2.2cm, gross weight 6.7 grams.
