A late Victorian fly brooch, the head set with a single old cut diamond and ruby-set eyes, the thorax set with a further single old-cut diamond, the abdomen consisting of an oval cluster of old-cut diamonds with diamond-set wings, all diamonds estimated to weigh 1 carat in total, set in silver to gold back with gold carved legs, mounted on a knife-edge bar with pearl-set ends, each pearl measuring approximately 3.7 mm in diameter, with a gold pin brooch fitting, circa 1890, measuring approximately 3.5 x 1.7 cm, gross weight 3.1 grams.
