An impressive late 19th century pectoral cross, to the centre a circular plaque with an emerald-set Latin cross with fleur-de-lys cardinal points, the emeralds estimated to weigh ½ carat in total, surrounded by ruby and old-cut diamond-set frame, the four arms with openwork scroll and foliate decorations, with two crossed palm branches on the back, suspended from a ruby and old-cut diamond-set openwork crown and a gold pendant loop, the diamonds estimated to weigh 2¼ carats in total, the rubies estimated to weigh 2½ carats in total, mounted in yellow gold, circa 1880, measuring 16.5 x 9cm, gross weight 100 grams.
