An Edwardian ruby and diamond brooch/pendant, the cushion-shaped faceted ruby estimated to weigh 2.8 carats, accompanied by GCS report stating to be of Burmese origin with no indication of heating, millegrain-set in yellow gold collet, surrounded by sixteen small old brilliant-cut diamonds, within a diamond-set openwork panel of scroll design, the eight principal old European-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 2.80 carats in total, the smaller diamonds estimated to weigh a further total of 2¼ carats, all millegrain-set in platinum mount, with detachable diamond-set loop and detachable gold brooch fitting, accompanied by a small screw driver, circa 1910, measuring approximately 4.5×4.2cm without the loop, gross weight 19.3 grams.
