Description

An early 20th century diamond bow brooch by Skinner & Co, the knot formed of three vertically oriented rows of millegrain-set old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 0.4 carats in total, the bows of openwork lattice pattern within a diamond-set boarder, the diamonds estimated to weigh a further total of 1.2 carats, grain-set to a millegrain edge, the total estimated diamond weight 1.60 carats, all mounted in platinum with pin and brooch fitting, to an openwork double gallery, circa 1925, measuring 4.9 x 1.7 cm, the pin measuring 5 cm long, gross weight 8.3 grams.
