A late Victorian diamond-set star brooch

Description

A late Victorian diamond-set star brooch, to the centre a cluster of old-European-cut diamonds forming a star, all to a diamond-set six ray star frame with six knife-edge bars, each terminating to a single old-cut diamond, the diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 5½ carats in total, all set in silver to yellow gold back, circa 1890, measuring approximately 3.5cm in diameter, gross weight 7.9 grams.
