An early 20th century diamond and pâte de verre heron brooch, the two herons set throughout with rose-cut diamonds, with gold beaks and legs, the one set with an orange hand carved pâte de verre glass wing and two cabochon-cur eyes, the other with green wing and one ruby eye, standing atop a gold branch, all mounted in silver and rose gold, to closed back and brooch fitting, possibly French, circa 1900, measuring approximately 3.5×3.5 cm, gross weight 9.7 grams.
