A Victorian diamond set crescent brooch, the central row consisting of seventeen old European-cut diamonds graduating in size from the centre, within a frame of smaller Old European and rose-cut diamonds, all graduated in size, the diamonds estimated to weigh 7½ carats in total, all cut-down set in silver with yellow gold back and detachable gold brooch fitting, accompanied by a gilt metal hairpin fitting, in an original fitted case stamped Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, circa 1890, measuring approximately 4.4 x 4.0cm, gross weight 15.8 grams.
