Description

An Art Deco jade, onyx and diamond brooch, the oval jade carved plaque measuring approximately 4.2 x 2.4cm, depicting two birds surrounded by flowers and foliage, claw-set to a diamond-set frame of openwork geometric design, the small diamonds estimated to weigh ½ carat in total, millegrain-set in platinum, terminating on each side to a scalloped-shaped carved onyx, all to a platinum and white gold frame and brooch fitting,, accompanied with original fitted box from Carrington & Co, circa 1930, measuring 8.7×2.4cm, gross weight 19.3 grams.
