Description

A late Victorian half-pearl and multi-gem horseshoe brooch, consisting of thirteen half-pearls graduating in size from the centre, embellished with small rose-cut diamonds set in-between, with and inner row of multi-colour gems including sapphires, rubies, emeralds and one old-cut diamond, all mounted in yellow gold, to rose-gold back with brooch fitting, circa 1890, measuring 2.6×2.5cm, gross weight 7.5 grams.
