Description

An early-twentieth century peridot and diamond giardinetto brooch, the faceted peridot in the form of a pot, weighing 9.00 carats, the handles and rim of the pot finely grain-set with small rose-cut diamonds, the base formed by a small marquise-cut and one triangular-cut diamond, the top embellished with diamond millegrain-set foliate decorations, the diamonds estimated to weigh 1 carat in total, all assessed as G-H colour and VS clarity, mounted in platinum with yellow gold brooch fitting, circa 1915, measuring 3.6×2.9cm, gross weight 7.8 grams.
