Description

An Edwardian natural pearl and diamond rosette brooch, centrally set with an old-European cut diamond estimated to weigh 0.35 carats, rubover set within a frame of old-cut diamonds, to a pierced circular panel of floral motif, embellished with small old-European and rose-cut diamonds, with an outer layer of honeycomb pattern lattice work sections with scalloped diamond-set border and flanked with ten round shaped pearls measuring approximately 3.50mm in diameter, accompanied by GPL report stating to be natural and saltwater origin, the two hundred and five diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 2¾ carats, assessed mounted to be of G – H colour and VS2 – SI2 clarity, all diamonds millegrain-set in platinum mount with rat-tail pendant fitting on reverse and detachable gold brooch fittings, circa 1910, measuring 4.4cm in diameter, gross weight 23.6 grams.
