More informationA pair of red poppies art-deco style cufflinks by Ilgiz F, each cufflink with three poppies with champlevé enamelled petals and hot enamelled peduncles, on a diamond pave-set background of round shape, the diamonds weighing 2.28 carats in total, all mounted in 18ct gold with swivel fittings, made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, hallmarked 18ct gold, London 2019, measuring approximately 1.6 cm, gross weight 15.8 grams.
This exquisite pair of cufflinks was made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, a widely recognized master in the art of jewellery and particularly enamelwork. Each cufflink features a white gold swivel fitting and a round plaque face on which is applied a background of sparkling pave-set diamonds. Each cufflink features three wonderfully bold and geometric red poppies, created from fine enamel work with black enamel details. Poppies are widely cultivated and grown in central Asia, a region where Ilgiz F. draws much inspiration from. The fine enamel work on the poppies is wonderfully done and complemented beautifully by the black enamel accents and the sparkling diamonds. Ilgiz Fazulzyanov has twice been awarded the grand prize at the International Jewellery Design Excellence Awards, and his work is held in the collection of world-renowned museums including the Kremlin Museum in Moscow.
