A wonderfully ornate pair of High Victorian earrings. These earrings exemplify the High Victorian style, each featuring a sculptural scrolled mount in yellow gold set with three glowing cabochon-cut garnets. The combination of garnets and yellow gold was very popular in the mid-nineteenth century, and the pairing is dramatic and striking. The style of these earrings is reminiscent of the ornate styles made today by Dolce & Gabbana, which are often paired on the runway with the house’s signature floral gowns. This pair of earrings would perfectly complement a stylish evening gown.
