A pair of Edwardian amethyst and diamond drop earrings

Description

A pair of Edwardian amethyst and diamond drop earrings, each comprising a pear-shaped cabochon-cut amethyst drop, the one weighing 10.56 carats and the other 11.08 carats, each with a diamond-set cap suspended from a diamond-set bow surmount with two vertically-oriented diamond-set collets in-between, the old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 1 carat in total for the pair, all millegrain-set in platinum mount with later yellow gold post and scroll fittings, circa 1910, each measuring approximately 3.8×1.4 cm, gross weight 9.2 grams.
