A pair of opal and diamond drop earrings, each earring set with a pear-shaped cabochon-cut black opal, claw-set and surrounded by a frame of nineteen small round brilliant-cut diamonds, all suspended by a larger single round brilliant-cut diamond-set top, each opal weighing 1.86 carats, 3.72 carats in total for the pair, the diamonds estimated to weigh 2¼ carats in total for the pair, mounted in yellow gold with post and scroll fittings, hallmarked 18ct gold, Sheffield, measuring 2.6×1.1cm, gross weight 6.9 grams.
