A late Victorian jester stick-pin, depicting the face of a jester wearing a black mask and hat set with rose-cut diamonds and round-cut faceted rubies, surrounded by a circular frame set with rose-cut diamonds on blue enamelled background, all made in yellow gold, with gold pin, circa 1890, the jewelled part measuring 1.3cm in diameter, gross weight 3.4 grams.
A delightful stick pin depicting a Victorian jester. The enamelled face wears a black half mask and has two twinkling rose-cut diamonds for eyes. The enamel is wonderfully detailed, and the face is surrounded by a sparkling circular frame set with rubies and diamonds. This lovely antique piece would be a charming addition to a jacket lapel.
