An early 20th century diamond-set flying duck stick-pin, the body and wings encrusted with small old-cut diamonds, the multi-colour enamelled head with a cabochon-cut ruby-set eye and yellow gold beak, mounted in silver with yellow gold back, to a gold pin fitting, circa 1900, the jewelled part measuring 15 x 8mm, the pin measuring 6cm long, gross weight 3.2 grams.

This delightful early 20th century diamond set duck stickpin is set with glittering old cut diamonds, perfectly contrasted with the cabochon cut ruby which forms the eye. The green and blue enamelling gives the impression that this stickpin was modelled on a mallard, which is a common British water fowl.
