A glittering late Victorian diamond-set horse stick pin. Horses were essential in Victorian society and played a role in most of London’s military events and celebrations. The Cart Horse Parade was established in 1885 to encourage owners to take pride in their animals and multiple veterinary institutions were founded to look after these beloved animals.
