A late Victorian emerald and diamond quatrefoil brooch

Description

A late Victorian emerald and diamond quatrefoil pin, to the centre a small octagonal-shaped step-cut emerald claw-set in yellow gold, each leaf set with five old brilliant-cut diamonds graduating in size, to a further centrally-set small diamond, the diamonds estimated to weigh 1 carat in total, all cut-down collet-set in silver and gold mount, with gold pin fitting, circa 1890, measuring approximately 1.7×1.7cm, the pin measuring 7cm long, gross weight 7 grams.
