An Art Deco Mogok Burma Ruby And Diamond Ring

An Art Deco Mogok Burma ruby and diamond ring, the central oval-shaped faceted ruby weighing 3.88 carats, a triangular-shaped straight-side faceted ruby to either side, weighing a total of 0.17 carats, all set within a pave-set old brilliant-cut diamond encrusted bombe mount, diamonds weighing an estimated total of 2.45 carats, all to a platinum mount with tapered D-section shank with fluted shoulders, bearing French platinum mark, circa 1930, head measuring 1.8×2.2cm, finger size L 1/2, gross weight 7 grams.

An exceptional ring. The central ruby comes from Mogok in Burma, where the finest rubies in the world are found. It is a wonderful and bright colour and weighs an impressive 3.88 carats. This ring was made in around 1930, and it has a wonderful Art Deco flair to it: the central ruby is flanked by two triangular rubies set in an oval plaque with geometric openwork platinum set with dazzling diamonds. A unique and special ring.
