An Edwardian Conch Pearl, Emerald And Diamond Pendant
An Edwardian conch pearl, emerald and diamond pendant with later embellishments, the pear-shaped conch peal, measuring approximately 11.0 x 7.1mm, suspended by a diamond-set run between two calibre-cut emerald-set openwork scrolls, beneath a later diamond-set festoon leading to a small conch pearl drop, measuring approximately 7.0 x 4.2mm, all surmounted from a diamond-set bow, the diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.7 carats, set to platinum mount and suspended from a fixed trace chain, circa 1910, measuring approximately 6×2.5cm, gross weight 7.97 grams.
An exquisitely detailed and colourful pendant necklace. The pendant features a diamond-set bow attaching it to the necklace chain. Suspended from the bow is a scrolled motif of platinum set with verdant green calibre cut emeralds. In the centre of the scroll motif is a wonderful conch pearl in a beautiful shade of pale pink. Hanging from the scroll are two lines of sparkling diamonds, which meet in the centre with a further conch pearl drop. The pink of the pearl and green of the emeralds complement each other wonderfully, and the diamonds add eye-catching sparkle to this piece. This necklace would look gorgeous with an evening gown.
