An Delightful Cartier Art Deco Brooch
An delightful Cartier Art Deco brooch, the brooch comprising an openwork rectangular plaque with two central coral bars with rock crystal sides, with fan-shaped diamond and onyx terminations, all set to a platinum mount and brooch fitting, gross weight 9.1 grams, signed Cartier London, circa 1920.
This exquisite brooch was made by Cartier. This brooch features an open rock crystal rectangle set with coral bars and glittering diamonds. On either end of the rock crystal are two fan-shaped pieces which are set with further diamonds and black onyx. The design of this piece is classically Art Deco, alluding to both machine-age technology and to Ancient Egyptian motifs. A wonderful piece.
