An Art Nouveau Diamond Scroll Brooch

An Art Nouveau diamond scroll brooch, the brooch comprising three old brilliant-cut diamonds, within a flowing openwork diamond-set scroll surround, with old brilliant-cut diamond drop to the centre, the diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 3.2 carats, all set in silver with grain edging to a yellow gold mount and brooch fitting, English, circa 1900, measuring approximately 3.8×2.5cm, gross weight 7.1 grams, illustrated in “Jewelry For Gentlemen” by James Sherwood, pages 144 & 145.

A dazzling Edwardian brooch. This brooch features a sinuous openwork design set with glittering diamonds. The three old cut diamonds to the centre of the frame scintillate beautifully and are surrounded by further lively diamonds set into the scroll surround. This lovely and sparkling brooch would be a glittering addition to the front of an evening gown or to the lapel of a jacket.
