An early Victorian diamond maltese cross brooch, the cross set to the centre with an old brilliant-cut diamond estimated to weigh 0.6 carats, with four arms widening from the base with smaller arms between, encrusted throughout with old brilliant-cut and old-cut diamonds estimated to weigh a further 5.7 carats, all set in silver and mounted on gold, circa 1840, gross weight 16.4 grams
