An Edwardian Pearl And Diamond Cross Over Ring
An Edwardian natural pearl and diamond cross over ring, the pearl measuring approximately 8.5×6.5mm accompanied by a Gem and Pearl Laboratory certificate stating to be natural of saltwater origin, set asymmetrically beside an old brilliant-cut diamond weighing 1.68 carats claw-set in platinum to a yellow gold mount with old brilliant-cut diamond-set curved shoulders and reeded shank, circa 1910, head measuring 1.3×1.7cm, finger size P ½, gross weight 5.4grams,
An enchanting Edwardian ring. This ring dates to around 1910 and is emblematic of design from that period. A single lustrous pearl and a dazzling diamond cross over each other on a curved band set with further diamonds, creating an elegant and romantic shape. The pearl and diamond can be interpreted as a ‘moi et toi’ symbol, or ‘me and you’, symbolising the two parts of a couple. A wonderful piece.
The finger size of most of our rings can be adjusted and our workshop will be happy to do this free of charge. If you do not know your finger size please request us to post you a finger measure.
