A Georgian topaz and pearl cluster brooch, the oval faceted topaz estimated to weigh 5.20 carats in a cut-down setting, surrounded by a half pearl cluster all to a yellow gold mount, with brooch fitting, circa 1800, measuring approximately 2 x 2.2cm, gross weight 4.6 grams.
A wonderful topaz and pearl brooch. It was made in around the end of the 18th century and captures the charm of the Georgian era. This brooch features a lovely honey-hued topaz surrounded by a frame of lustrous half pearls. The pearls provide a wonderful complement to the rich topaz. Topaz and pearl were both popular gems in the Georgian era, and together, they make a bright and beautiful piece.
