A Victorian Five-stone Carved Half Hoop Emerald Ring
A Victorian five-stone carved half hoop emerald ring, the five emerald-cut emeralds estimated to weigh a total of 1.80 carats, graduating in size from the centre with two rose-cut diamonds set between each, all claw-set to a yellow gold carved half hoop mount with scrolled gallery and fluted shoulders, to tapered D-section shank, circa 1880, head measuring 0.5×1.9cm, finger size O, gross weight 3.1 grams
A dazzling late Victorian emerald ring. This ring features five bright green emeralds with a verdant and lovely hue. Between the emeralds are set twinkling and delicate rose-cut diamonds, which add to the charm of this lovely piece. The stones are set to an ornate scrolled gallery mount, typical of Victorian half hoop rings. The yellow gold setting adds warmth and highlights the wonderful colour of the emeralds. This piece would look fabulous paired with an evening gown or a smart summer dress.
