A Horse And Jockey Tie Pin
A Victorian horse and jockey tie pin, the horse jumping, set with old-cut diamonds with an enamelled jockey wearing brown and white silk racing colours, set in silver to a yellow gold back, circa 1890, the jewelled part measuring approximately 1cm long and 2.3cm wide, the pin measuring 6.6cm, gross weight 3.8 grams.
A wonderful late nineteenth century stick pin. This piece is a good representation of Victorian novelty jewellery, which often depicted sporting related symbols. This pin features a detailed yellow gold horse set with glittering diamonds. Riding the horse is a jockey, with fine enamel details. This charming piece would look wonderful on a lapel or tie and would be a perfect accessory to wear to the races.
