More informationAn early 20th century ruby and diamond three leaf clover brooch, to the centre a cushion shaped old brilliant-cut diamond weighing 0.71 carats, the three faceted pear shaped rubies, weighing 2.62 carats in total, accompanied by GCS report stating to be of Burmese origin with no indication of heating, each set to a cluster of small old brilliant-cut diamonds, with a diamond-set stalk, the small diamonds estimated to weigh a further total of 1.1 carats, all set in silver and yellow gold, with gold brooch pin and hook fitting, bearing Polish hallmarks for 14ct gold and silver, Warsaw, circa 1920, measuring approximately 30 x 27mm, gross weight 7.5 grams.
A striking early 20th century brooch. This lovely piece features a three-leaf clover set with three beautiful Burmese rubies and surrounded by diamonds. Each clover leaf has a vibrant central ruby set to it and a boarder of dazzling diamonds. The clover has been a symbol of luck since the nineteenth century, and this brooch has a wonderful naturalistic shape and sparkle to it. This piece would look stunning pinned to the bodice of an evening dress.
