A Victorian cabochon garnet bracelet, the centre oval cabochon garnet flanked by two smaller oval shape cabochon garnets, each set in fleur-de-lis designed claws, surrounded by a knotted gold chain in a figure-of-eight, circa 1850, measuring approximately 18 x 3.8cm, gross weight 34.0 grams.
A wonderful High Victorian style garnet and gold bracelet. This handsome piece features a knotted gold chain, to the centre of which is set three glowing cabochon-cut garnets set in a knotted yellow gold design. This piece is emblematic of mid-nineteenth century jewellery styles, when ornate and bold designs became popular as well as richly coloured stones such as cabochon-cut garnets. A wonderful bracelet.
