An Art Deco Buddha Sureté Pin

An Art Deco Buddha sureté pin, set with a green pâte de verre Buddha, resting upon a diamond fleur-de-lis pedestal, with a platinum hallo-shape crown and a single diamond pendant, all to a platinum and white gold mount, encrusted with rose-cut and old-cut diamonds, circa 1920, bearing Chinese export marks, the jewelled part measuring approximately 2.9cm long and 1.65cm wide, measuring approximately 5.9cm in total length, gross weight 5.2 grams.

A wonderful Art Deco stick pin. It features a green pâte de verre Chinese Buddha, with a single diamond set to its chest and a detailed diamond halo. Pâte de verre is a pressed glass popularly used in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco period. The diamonds complement the vivid green Buddha well. This pin reflects the Eastern influences on Art Deco design and would add a pop of colour and character to a tailored suit.
