A Single Diamond-set Bar Brooch

A single diamond-set bar brooch, the round transition-cut diamond weighing 2.68 carats, claw-set to a yellow gold and platinum collet, to a yellow gold bar, with gold brooch fitting, in original fitted box from Mapin & Webb, circa 1930, measuring approximately 6.3 x 0.9cm, gross weight 5 grams.

A handsome gold and diamond bar brooch. This piece features a bright yellow gold bar with a single impressive diamond set to the centre. The diamond weighs over two and a half carats and scintillates beautifully. It was made in around 1930 by Mappin & Webb and would add sparkle and sophistication worn on a lapel or cravat.
