A Diamond And Yellow Gold Cocktail Ring
A diamond and yellow gold cocktail ring, the centre an old round brilliant-cut diamond estimated weight 0.2cts in a square platinum mount, shouldered with three baguette-cut synthetic rubies channel set, all to a rectangular shape abstract mount in 18ct yellow gold, later hallmarked, London 750, 2016, head measuring Head 1.4×1.9cm, finger size L 1/2, gross weight 10 grams. Circa 1940.
A fabulous vintage cocktail ring. Bold and sculptural, this ring features a thick gold shank with a geometrically designed form featuring a central diamond flanked by brightly coloured synthetic rubies, characteristic of this period, style and manufacture of cocktail jewellery. This sophisticated ring was made in around 1940 and reflects the transition from Art Deco to mid-century style.
