A Late Victorian Ruby And Diamond Ring
A late Victorian ruby and diamond ring, the central oval-cut ruby weighing 0.61cts with two old brilliant-cut diamonds to top and bottom, linked by diamond-encrusted crescent motifs and diamond-set shoulders, the diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.66 carats, circa 1890, later hallmarked 18ct gold London 2016, the head measuring 1.6×1.8cm, finger size K 1/2, gross weight 2.9 grams.
A gorgeous Victorian ring, made at the end of the nineteenth century. This delicate ring features wonderful diamond crescents enclosing a trio of rubies and diamonds. The central ruby is deeply coloured and wonderfully bright, and the two diamonds above and below the ruby are lively and sparkle beautifully. This romantic Victorian piece would make a unique and eye-catching engagement ring.
