A Regency Pink Sapphire Ring
A Regency pink sapphire ring, the five graduating pink sapphires, with approximate weight 1.5 carats in total, accompanied by GCS Report 5777-8278, stating to be of Burmese origin with no indications of heating, all set in a yellow gold mount with gold spherical decorations , to a tapered fluted yellow gold shank with beaded decoration to the shoulders, circa 1810, head measuring 0.8×2.1cm, finger size O, gross weight 3.16 grams.
An exquisite Regency-era piece. This ring features five pink sapphires set in detailed gold mounts. The sapphires are a bright and vivid shade of pink, which is well complemented by the ornate gold setting that features small gold beads. This ring was made in around 1810, at the height of the Regency era: one can imagine this ring being worn with an empire-waist gown.
