More informationAn Edwardian diamond, pearl and enamel pendant, the centre a pearl sitting on four branches of diamond-set leaves all set on blue enamel framed by a circular border of diamonds, surrounded by an openwork grid design set with diamonds to a diamond-set leaf border suspended from a diamond-set loop, all in platinum and 18ct yellow gold backed enamel, circa 1905, measuring approximately 5.2×3.5cm, gross weight 9.5 grams.
An elegant Edwardian pendant. This piece features a central disc of royal blue enamel set in the centre with a lovely pearl. Diamond-set foliate motifs radiate out from the pearl, adding sparkle. Platinum was widely used in the Edwardian era for its ability to create strong designs that could be very visually delicate. The frame to this pendant mimics the look of fine mesh lace, with diamonds set sparkling throughout it. Further diamonds border the fine platinum work and stud the pendant loop. An exquisite piece.
