An Edwardian Natural Pearl And Diamond-set Bee Stick Pin
An Edwardian natural pearl and diamond-set bee stick pin, the thorax set with a cream pearl and the abdomen with a gold pearl, both accompanied by GCS Report 5776-4035, stating to be natural saltwater, with old-cut diamond encrusted wings and faceted ruby-set eyes, all set in silver and yellow gold, to a yellow gold pin fitting, circa 1900, gross weight 2.1 grams.
A lovely insect stick pin. This piece features a jewel-set insect perched on the top of a yellow gold stick pin. The insect’s body is made of two pearls, one cream and one yellow. The eyes are glinting rubies, and the wings are each set with three sparkling diamonds. The legs are realistically carved. This charming piece is emblematic of the naturalistic styles of the late Victorian and early Edwardian period.
