A Late Victorian Ruby And Diamond Bow Brooch
A late Victorian ruby and diamond bow brooch, the centrally set ruby surrounded by an old-cut diamond-set cluster, bow parts alternately-set with graduated round faceted rubies and old brilliant-cut diamonds, the rubies estimated to weigh 0.8 carats in total, the diamonds estimated to weigh 1.3 carats in total, all set in silver and gold, with gold brooch fitting, circa 1890, measuring approximately 3.5 x 0.9 cm, gross weight 4.1 grams.
Exquisite rubies alternate with dazzling diamonds in this refined bow design. This is an elegant brooch which would add a dash of vivid colour to a little black dress.
