A pair of George V sapphire and diamond cluster earrings, each earring set with an oval-shaped faceted sapphire, total sapphire weight 3.66 carats, accompanied by GCS Report stating to be of Burmese origin with no indication of heat treatment, claw-set to the centre of an old brilliant-cut diamond millegain-set cluster, the diamonds weighing approximately a total of 0.50 carats, all set in platinum with white gold post and scroll fittings, circa 1920, later assayed London 18ct gold, bearing the Bentley & Skinner sponsor mark, gross weight 3.5 grams.
This beautiful pair of sapphire and diamond cluster earrings were made during the early reign of King George the V. They each feature a royal blue faceted sapphire surrounded by a cluster of lively round diamonds. These earrings have post and scroll fittings and shine with wonderful colour and sparkle.
