More informationAn Edwardian pearl and diamond necklace, the necklace comprising a principle garland drop, suspending an oval pearl measuring approximately 8.2 x 5.6mm, to the centre of a diamond-set laurel leaf cluster, the two outer drops suspended from a diamond-set laurel-wreath swag with flower cluster terminations, to a fine fancy-link chain, all diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 2.80 carats, platinum millegrain-set,circa 1910, the jewelled part measuring approximately 7.4 x 3.6cm, the chain measuring 42cm, gross weight 10.2 grams.
An exquisite early twentieth century necklace. It features a central drop comprised of an openwork platinum garland set throughout with sparkling diamonds. In the centre of the garland frame is a lovely oval pearl which provides a beautiful complement to the diamonds. The central drop is attached to the fine platinum chain with further platinum foliate motifs, also set with diamonds, terminating in two lovely diamond set flowers. Naturalistic and elegant, this necklace exemplifies Edwardian simplicity.
