An Edwardian Diamond Ring
An Edwardian diamond ring, the vertically-set old cut diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.75 carats, all rub-over millegrain-set, to an openwork rose-cut diamond-set plaque, with yellow gold gallery and gold shank, circa 1910, the head measuring approximately 1.5×1.4cm, finger size O, gross weight 3.3 grams.
A wonderful and classically Edwardian diamond ring. The Edwardian period is characterized by the lovely openwork metal designs set throughout with twinkling diamonds, and this ring captures the essence of the period well. This elegant piece would make an unusual and unique engagement ring.
