A beautiful Antique Russian brooch. The dragonfly has been rendered in exquisite, glittering detail. The body of the dragonfly is set with a pattern of bright, crème de menthe-coloured emeralds and dazzling diamonds. Further scintillating diamonds encrust the wings of the insect, and the eyes feature bright and vibrant rubies. This is a wonderful piece that exemplifies the early 20th Century style for gem-set insect motifs in jewellery.
