A dragonfly enamel and diamond ring by Ilgiz F
A Dragonfly enamel and diamond ring by Ilgiz F, the two dragonflies with feu- enamelled bodies and fine plique-á-jour wings, on an openwork round brilliant-cut diamond-set background of round shape, to openwork diamond-set shoulders and tapering shank, all in 18ct white gold, made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, measuring approximately 2.8 cm in diamter, finger size P, gross weight 14.4 grams.
An exquisite and remarkable ring. It was crafted by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, a widely recognized master in the art of jewellery and particularly enamelwork. This ring features a wonderful and delicate openwork background set with glittering diamonds. Resting on the diamonds are two superb, enamelled dragonflies. The dragonflies in this work reference the dragonflies present in the work of Art Nouveau jeweller Rene Lalique, who is one of many sources of inspiration for Ilgiz F. This piece demonstrates Ilgiz F’s magnificent skill with enamel work and is a gorgeous example of his craftsmanship and style. Ilgiz Fazulzyanov has twice been awarded the grand prize at the International Jewellery Design Excellence Awards, and his work is held in the collection of world-renowned museums including the Kremlin Museum in Moscow.
