A Burdock pendant by Ilgiz F, the octagonal shape faceted plaque with an openwork enamelled back depicting burdocks, suspended by a diamond-set and black enamelled loop, with woven-silk cord with diamond-set slider and black enamelled finials, made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, measuring approximately 4cm long and 3.2cm wide, gross weight 19.9 grams.
A gorgeous pendant necklace. This piece was made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, a widely recognized master in the art of jewellery and particularly enamelwork. The pendant features an octagonal faceted plaque of crystal, representing a pane of glass. Behind the crystal is an exquisite pattern of enamelled burdock flowers, a common plant from the southern Russian region where Ilgiz F. is from, created with fine pink enamel and black details. The detailed and expertly crafted pendant is hung from a taupe-coloured silk cord, which has diamond-set sliders and black finials for further detail. Ilgiz Fazulzyanov has twice been awarded the grand prize at the International Jewellery Design Excellence Awards, and his work is held in the collection of world-renowned museums including the Kremlin Museum in Moscow.
