A pair of Dragonfly earrings by Ilgiz F, each with a drop shaped openwork plaque, depicting three dragonflies with enamelled bodies and fine plique-á-jour wings, surrounded by diamond-set frame and suspended by diamond set hook fittings, all made in 18ct gold by Ilgiz Fazukzyanov, measuring approximately 6.3cm long, gross weight 13.3 grams.
This exquisite pair of earrings was made by Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, a widely recognized master in the art of jewellery and particularly enamelwork. Each of these earrings features an open diamond-set frame, within which is depicted three finely enamelled dragonflies. The dragonfly design references the Art Nouveau work of Rene Lalique, and the wings of the dragonflies are expertly crafted with plique-a-jour enamel. The fine enamelwork is exemplary of Ilgiz F.’s skill and craftsmanship. Each earring features further diamonds set to the hook fittings. These earrings are delicate, stunning, and wonderfully crafted. Ilgiz Fazulzyanov has twice been awarded the grand prize at the International Jewellery Design Excellence Awards, and his work is held in the collection of world-renowned museums including the Kremlin Museum in Moscow.
